Alta River Camping

We warmly welcome you to Alta, located in Finnmark county in northern Norway. Here you will find green valleys, high mountains, clear rivers full of fish, the sea sparkling in the fjords, and untamed wild nature, close to the diverse services of the city.

Our camping area is located about five kilometers south of the center of Alta, near the E45 highway leading to Finland via Kautokeino, along the flowing Alta River.

Alta River Camping is a great base for travelers stopping for one night or exploring the Alta and Finnmark region for a longer period of time.

Accommodation options include terraced house apartments, terraced house rooms/cabins, individual cottages, and rooms on the ground floor of the main house and in the house next to the main house. There are a total of 90 beds. 14 of the 27 accommodation options are also suitable for winter use.

All units have a fridge, hotplate/stove, table and chairs, blankets and pillows, and electric heating. Linen is not included in the price, but can be rented for 100 NOK/set with towels.

The pleasant steam baths in our hut sauna are also a must-try!

There are no mosquitoes, midges or gnats in our area, so you are welcome to enjoy the mosquito-free zone.
